Andacht – Fröhlichkeit und Segen

„Wohl dem Volk, das jauchzen kann! Herr, sie werden im Licht deines Antlitzes wandeln.“

Psalm 89,16

Juchzen, jubeln, glücklich sein – all das sind Attribute des Lebens, die im Moment bei vielen von uns zu kurz kommen. Fallzahlen, Todeszahlen, sich Sorgen machen und in Unsicherheit leben: Das ist es, was unser Leben im Moment eher bestimmt. Doch als Christinnen und Christen sind wir gerade in Anbetracht der kommenden Osterzeit aufgerufen, „Protestleute gegen den Tod“ zu sein. Wir sind aufgerufen, uns nicht von den Widrigkeiten des Lebens unterkriegen zu lassen. Wir sind aufgerufen, im Vertrauen auf Gottes Liebe zu lachen, zu jubeln, zu jauchzen.

Nicht so einfach, mögen viele entgegnen – aber ich denke, es geht.

Ein Blick in die erwachende Natur entlockt mir ein Jauchzen. Die prächtigen Farben der Narzissen oder die dicken Knospen an Büschen und Bäumen sind für mich deutlich Zeichen des Lebens! Da will jemand Farbe in mein Leben bringen! Aber auch ein Blick auf die vielen, durchaus humorvollen Nachrichten und Posts in den sozialen Netzwerken bringen mich zum Lachen und hellen meinen Alltag auf. Ich empfinde das nicht als Galgenhumor, sondern als ein tiefes Bewusstsein dafür, dass unser Leben auch etwas mit Spaß und Freude zu tun hat – ja, zu tun haben soll. Wie gesagt, als Christinnen und Christen sind wir „Protestleute gegen den Tod“. Wir sind Botschafter/innen der Liebe und des Lachens, das Gott uns geschenkt hat – bei aller Sorge und bei aller Unsicherheit, die uns im Moment auch umgibt. Das sollten wir nicht vergessen!

Cheering, rejoicing, being happy – all these are attributes of life that many of us are neglecting at the moment. The number of cases, the number of deaths, worrying and living in uncertainty is what determines our lives at the moment. But as Christians we are called to be “protest people against death” – especially in view of the coming Easter season. We are called not to let the adversities of life get us down. We are called to laugh, to cheer, to exult trusting in God’s love.

Not so easy, many may reply – but I think it works.

A look at the awakening nature in our continent elicits a shout. The magnificent colors of the daffodils or the thick buds on bushes and trees are for me clearly signs of life! Someone wants to bring color to my life! But also a look at the many, quite humorous, messages and posts in the social networks make me laugh and brighten up my everyday life. I don’t see that as a gallows humor but as a deep awareness that our life also has something to do with fun and joy – yes, it should have something to do with it. As I said, as Christians we are “protest people against death”. We are ambassadors for the love and laughter that God has given us – with all the worry and uncertainty that also surrounds us at the moment. We shouldn’t forget that!
