Andacht – Umdenken und einen Neuanfang wagen

Seit Beginn der Corona-Krise vor vier Wochen geht mir ein Lied einer Reggae Band nicht mehr aus dem Kopf. Es heißt „Maybe we should just go slow!“ In einem Live-Mitschnitt von einem Konzert dieser Musikgruppe kündigt der Sänger das Lied mit sehr pathetischen Worten an:

We’re talking about high technology – and low humanity.

We’re talking about fast modern living – and slow terrible dying.

We’re moving too fast – civilization get’s a blow – maybe we should just go slow.

Ich persönlich empfinde es als sehr wohltuend, dass im Moment alles ein wenig langsamer geht als sonst. Und ich sehe die Krise insofern auch als Chance. Wir können diese Pause im „fast modern living“ gut gebrauchen, um alles noch einmal zu überdenken! Ich würde mir wünschen, dass wir anders aus dieser Krise rausgehen, als wir reingegangen sind. Aufmerksamer, fürsorglicher, kämpferischer – mit einem geschärften Blick für das Wesentliche und für die Not der anderen. Papst Franziskus hat es am Freitag so unnachahmlich und treffend gesagt: „Wie können wir glauben, dass wir in einer kranken Welt gesund bleiben können?“ Die Bibel nennt das Umkehr. Einen Neuanfang wagen. Etwas verändern. Sich anders orientieren. Auf Gott hoffen. Das wünsche ich mir!

Guter Gott, sei du nahe bei unseren Kranken und stärke sie!

Gib uns Geduld und Lebensmut, mit dieser Krise umzugehen.

Lass sie uns auch als Chance begreifen, manches neu und anders zu machen.

Behüte die Menschen in unseren Partnerkirchen und zeige ihnen und uns tragfähige Wege aus der Krise. Amen

Since the beginning of the covid 19 crisis four weeks ago there’s a reggae song running through my head, it’s called “Maybe we should just go slow!” There is a live performance of the concert on youtube and the singer is announcing the song with very pathetical words:

We’re talking about high technology – and low humanity.

We’re talking about fast modern living – and slow terrible dying.

We’re moving too fast – civilization get’s a blow – maybe we should just go slow.

Me personally, I like the reduced speed of life just in the moment. There is also a chance in this crisis for all of us. Maybe we need a break in our kind of “fast modern living” to rethink everything again. It’s my wish that we get out of this crisis differently than we stepped into it. More attentive, more caring and more combative – with a sharpened eye for the essential and for the needs of others. Pope Francis said it on Friday in a very good way: „How can we believe to stay healthy in a sick world?“ It’s said in the bible, we have to turn around. We have to look for a new start. We should change something. We need a better orientation. Believing in God. That’s what I wish for!

 

Merciful god, be close to our ill people and strengthen them!

Give us patience and courage of Life, to cope with this crisis.

Help us to see the chance to do some things new and different.

Protect the people of our partner churches and show them and us sustainable ways out of this crisis. Amen
